Every Create and Edit window of any dictionary concept includes mostly the same attributes, of which the main ones are:

  • labels

  • codes

  • owner

  • dates

...

Labels

A label can serve many roles and the most common ones include:

...

Remember to click Add label before creating an element otherwise the label will not be saved.

...

Codes

Each element should be assigned with a unique code (unless this is disabled in model design rules). The code of a dictionary element should not contain spaces or any special characters other than "_", "-" and ".". The maximum number of characters allowed for a code is 2048.

For some elements, codes can be generated and added automatically. To use the auto code generation, first, define the Owner of the newly added element and then click the Generate code button. This feature assumes that codes are based on numbers and suggests the number ‘Max+1’.

...

Owner

Every concept should have an owner that can be assigned from the list. If a default owner is selected in the section: owners, it will be assigned automatically for each newly created element.

Dates

Four dates can be defined in the concept:

...

The Valid From, Modified on, and Created on dates are set on the current date by default. Only the Valid To is required (unless this rule is disabled in /wiki/spaces/AMUS/pages/2380922905 model design rules).

Dates can be typed in manually or selected from the calendar by clicking on its icon.
