The section: Compare in ATOME: Matter is designed to compare different model versions and, if necessary, merge them into one version. To start a comparison select the Comparison type. It can be a whole model but also a dictionary or a framework and its elements. Then move to the Select key for comparison and choose one of the three options: by code, by categorisation, by label.
In the next step choose the model and model version that you wish to compare.
Once the comparison is complete, it is displayed below in the list of COMPARISONS. To view the results of the comparison click the SHOW DIFF (differences). The results can be exported.
ATOME: Matter finds only one difference here - one element with a code FAF was added to the metric.
There are four possible types of differences that may occur:
A - ADDED;
D - DELETED;
M - MODIFIED;
N - NOT AFFECTED.
By clicking MERGE ELEMENTS the two compared model versions are merged into one e.g. all differences will be added and the new model version will have the metric element (code FAF) added.
