Adding References to Model Elements

To add a reference to a specific element:

  1. Find the desired model element

  2. Drag the selected model element over to the reference you wish to synchronize it with:

To add multiple Model Elements:

  1. Use Select Multiple option. Select as many elements as needed

  2. Drag and drop them onto the reference in the same way:

To associate multiple References with a single model element:

  1. Use Select Multiple option from the left side panel

  2. Drag and drop the selected references onto the model element to establish the connections:

Adding References to Table Elements (Rows, Columns, etc.)

You can easily add references to specific table elements by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Tables model element (Modules > Tables)

  1. Click Select table and choose the relevant table from the available options in the drop-down list

  2. Once the desired table is selected, all its elements will become visible and expandable:

  3. To add a reference, simply drag and drop the table element onto the reference where you want to establish the link. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop the reference point onto the table element.

Create new reference for selected Model Element

You have the option to create a new reference for the selected model element. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select the element for which you want to create a reference.

  2. After selecting the element, click on Add reference.

  3. Choose the Reference owner and Reference type.

  4. If necessary, add a reference part.

  5. Once you have completed these steps, click Create and attach to synced concept:

Copy/paste References

To copy references, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on the copy icon located next to the reference you wish to clone.

  2. After the reference is copied, click the Paste button.

The copied reference will then appear on the list of references.

Search References

To locate a reference, expand the search filter:

Click the arrow next to Search References to expand the search filter.

Within the search filter, you can narrow down your results by:

  • Reference Owner

  • Reference Type

When it comes to searching by the reference part value, follow these steps:

  1. First, specify the reference part type.

  2. Then, enter the value.

  3. After entering the value, a '+' symbol will appear to the right of the reference part value.

  4. Click the '+' symbol to add the value to the search:

You can add multiple reference part types and values to your search. The search results will meet the conditions you've set up.

Additionally, you have the option to specify whether you want to see exact matches or general results that contain the reference part value.
