Create random instance

Starting from version 2.4.0.0 onwards, we introduced the new functionality allowing the Users to generate sample instances within the ATOME: Particles application.

Our Instance Generator is located at the end of Particles’ Task Bar under the button ‘Create sample report’:

When generating a sample instance, the User needs to fill in the same fields as when generating a new report: Report name, Report module, Currency, Entity Identifier and Entity Scheme.

In Generation Parameters, the User can select the desired percentage of empty facts (report density) and the number of rows in open tables which should be filled in with data:

Additionally, the User can select whether the numerical values in the report should be populated with zeros or with random values from the specific ranges:

To create a random report, the User should select "Create Sample Report" button, choose the sample report in the next window and open it:

Just like any other report created in the ATOME: Particles, sample instances can be exported further on to XBRL, DPL or Visual Excel formats.

For now, all ATOME: Particles Users have access to the Instance Generator functionality in full, so please do try it out. In the next versions of Particles, we are planning to expand this feature to Beta status with the possibility of creating instances for multiple reports from multiple taxonomy packages.

If you have any suggestions for the further development of this feature, please share them with us using ATOME: Particles Service Desk.
