| Migration between container versions |

Underlying data model (the "container") that a report is built upon may be updated. In this situation, the Report can still be used, but to ensure full compatibility and access to the latest features, it is recommended that reports created with an older container version are migrated to the new version.

Identifying Reports That Require Migration

Particles will automatically identify reports that were created using an older container version.

When a report is created based on the older container version, an exclamation mark icon will appear next to it in the Reports list.

How to Migrate a Report

Currently, the application does not support an automatic migration process. To move your data to the new container version, you must perform a manual export and import.

The recommended process is as follows:

  1. Export the Report: export the report data. We recommend using a standard format like XBRL or Excel. For detailed instructions, see the Exporting Reports chapter.

  2. Import the Report: Once you have the exported file, import it as a new report. This will create a new report instance that is compliant with the latest container version. For detailed instructions, see the Importing Reports chapter.

This process ensures that your data is safely transferred to the structure of the new container version.
