Release Notes

Welcome to the Regnology Metadata Modeller (formerly ATOME: Matter) Release Notes page.

You can find the glossary of all the release notes articles and changelogs for the major updates in the product.

09/05/2025 - ATOME:Matter is now Regnology Metadata Modeller

For the past few weeks, we worked on rebranding of ATOME:Matter to match other Regnology products look and feel. There is a new login screen following Regnology’s OneUI approach and recolouring of major components to match Regnology’s scheme. The new URL to access the platform will be constructed according to the following pattern: https://rsh-mm-{environment name}.regonology.net. All old links will remain valid and redirected. We are also working on integration of the platform with other Regnology products to provide our clients with new functionalities.

25/03/2025 - Updated front-end tech

For the past few weeks we have worked on updating the ATOME:Matter front-end to a recent version of technology applied there (Angular). We have tried our best to replicate all past behavior as it was, but you may notice a slightly different look and feel related to use of newer version of components (especially more spacious fields). Together with polishing this we will work on the better user experience so don’t be surprised with modified window panes, user entries, etc in the next releases. Please note that with this exercise no functionalities will be removed - we only hope to provide a better accessibility to existing features.

29/01/2025 - Matter at the heart of semantic metadata for Regnology products and recent updates to further support DPM 2.0 (EBA 4.0) and OIM-CSV

BR-AG has been acquired by Regnology, a global leader in the RegTech and SupTech markets. This strategic acquisition enriches Regnology’s SupTech offering with ATOME:Matter – our unique and only collaborative platform for data modelling and digital data standardisation that will become the sematic metadata hub for various existing and new products.

08/11/2024 - Enabling DPM 2.0

BR-AG has supported the EBA, ECB and EIOPA in development of the DPM 2.0. We are now working to make our solutions compliant with updates to the modelling methodology. In this release of ATOME:Matter users are enabled to assign Release to certain concepts, which is the bare minimum to enable working on the DPM 2.0 models while still being able to operate on models developed under DPM 1.0. We have adjusted DPM database import/export to understand the new versioning semantics and in the next updates on the platform we will extend it to other formats (XBRL export, XLS import/export, …).

30/07/2024 - Improvements to business rules definition, visual fixes and enhancements in various interoperability options

In this release users will find important improvements to the business rules definition process, that aim to eliminate certain common errors.

Firstly – before saving a rule a check is performed to confirm that variables are properly defined in terms of indicating all headers. User will be informed in case a variable is missing coordinates for row, column or closed z-axis.

22/05/2024 - Export of Annotate Templates with Tables gathered in Groups

ATOME:Matter enables serialising of the developed models to various formats. In addition to technical ones like XBRL or database dumps used by systems to support automated reporting, collection, and analysis of data, it also provides options to export entire model or its parts to Excel files. This helps sharing the model metadata with a wider group of stakeholders that do not have access to the platform. One of the commonly used for this purpose format is Excel file containing Annotate Templates, i.e. reporting tables with information on how they are assigned with the dictionary concepts. Until now, this export contained one table per worksheet, which for some larger models resulted in hundreds of worksheets. With this release users are enabled to take advantage of the Table grouping metadata and decide that all tables gathered by a Table group shall be included in the same worksheet. This may help in analysing annotations of tables grouped by topic they cover.

09/04/2024 - Improved DPM XBRL export

With this publication we release the new XBRL export engine. Until know Matter has employed a third-party component to produce DPM XBRL taxonomies. This black box prevented flexibility and optimisation. With the new code, developed entirely by BR-AG engineers, we are able to control the processes from end to end. This offers a lot of possibilities, of which some we already use:

20/03/2024 - Small improvements while waiting for bigger changes

There haven’t been many updates this year as we are fully focused on completing our major developments for the early 2024: the Simplified Table Builder – a first phase of easy and fast model creation functionality, and the new xBRL generation code that produces taxonomies much faster and enables further enhancements to this process and its results.

16/01/2024 - Improved logging on export/import of ITA models and several bugfixes.

  • No axis codes included in the DPM database export

05/12/2023 - Improved sorting of concepts in the Dictionary and new DB export option

We have improved A-Z sorting options of the concepts in the Dictionary in this release. They are now sorted in a more natural and humanly readable alphanumeric order instead of alphabetic. (as in x1,x2,x3,...,x9,x10,x11,x12,...,x19,x20,x21... vs old x1,x10,x11,x12,...,x19,x2,x20,x21,...,x29,x3,x30...)
We are also introducing a new DB export option that allows to export only Dictionary (leaving out all frameworks and their tables) and some minor bugfixes in the UI and versioning report.

22/11/2023 - Improved sorting on the Dictionary page and last login date export for admins

This release features the new sorting options on the Dictionary page: you can sort concepts by labels, codes or creation time (ascending or descending) in all four lists (Domains, Hierarchies, Dimensions and Members).
