Creating an axis
Creating an empty closed axis
You can also add an empty axis and then fill it in with ordinates using members or hierarchy nodes. To do this, please click plus on any ordinate and choose the Closed Axis.
Creating a semi-open axis
The semi-open axis contains an indication of the dimension and hierarchy of the closed domain related to this dimension. The context provided by the semi-open axis is limited to choosing between elements that are part of the indicated hierarchy.
A semi-open axis can be created by dragging an entire hierarchy or a part of it into the table. Choose Yes to create a semi-open axis.
Creating an open axis
Open axes are typically used to create all kinds of lists or statements when the number of reported elements is not predetermined. Designing a table using closed axes is not possible.
An open axis can be created using a Typed Domain (TD). Make sure that the domain is typed. You can verify this by clicking the 3 dots next to the domain and then selecting Edit. At the top of the pop-up window, the type of element will appear. After that drag and drop domain the to any ordinate in the table.
