Simplified model navigation

The left-hand side navigation pane of a Simplified model view contains fewer options comparing to the advanced DPM modelling view.

It enables users to edit Owners, create and edit Tables, Modules and Business rules as well as export the model to supported formats (depending on subscribed license – XLS, DB, XBRL). Note that in the simplified view it is not possible to edit Dictionary section of the model. Instead, some Dictionary concepts are prepopulated upon creation of a Simplified model while other get dynamically added and deleted while creating Tables.

Simplified model extended view

To edit Dictionary and other sections hidden in the Simplified model view, one needs to change the model settings to see it in the extended view. This is done in by clicking on Edit in the Model options:

This action results in extending of the left-hand side navigation pane with ability to access all features of the advanced DPM modelling:

Changes in the view are applied by clicking Save.

Note that sections indicated with the Warning icons shall be modified only by experienced users as otherwise the model can get corrupted and unusable.

To switch back to the simplified model view, select Edit in Model options, indicate Simplified model as the Select model mode (which will again narrow down the left-hand side navigation pane) and click Save.
