Create simplified model
To create a new model select Create under the model section in the left-hand side navigation bar.
In the Create Model pop-up wizard, in the section Select modelling approach indicate Simplified model.
Please note that is it possible to later change the modelling approach to view it using all advanced DPM features as described (see the next sections of the manual).
In the first step, user is asked to provide the Name (mandatory) and the Description (optional) of the created model.
Please note that Model version will be automatically created too – its Name follows the Name of the Model suffixed by [1] (“My simple model [1]” in this example)
In the second step, user sets up Name and Code of the main default Owner, i.e. institution/organisation that manages the information requirements defined by the model. Note that in simplified modelling it is assumed that all concepts are defined by one Owner (this can be further changed in the Advance DPM model view).
The third and the last step is to set up the Framework Name, Code and Publication date (note that in this step Framework Version is also created automatically).
After clicking Create please wait a moment while the system prepares the new model for use (the action is completed when the pink load bar on the top of the page screen reaches the right-hand side).
